The Reptile One Ceramic Heat Lamp Holder is a fundamental safety component for any terrarium setup. Unlike standard plastic sockets that can melt or become brittle under high temperatures, these holders are crafted from heavy-duty heat-resistant ceramic. Designed to safely house a variety of heat and light sources, they provide a secure and reliable connection for your reptile’s environmental heating needs.
Available in three sizes to accommodate different heating requirements. All models feature a standard E27 Screw Fitting.
| Model Capacity | Recommended Usage |
| Up to 50W | Ideal for low-wattage viewing lights, night lights, or small habitat heaters. |
| Up to 100W | Suitable for standard basking lamps and moderate-output infrared bulbs. |
| Up to 150W | Heavy-duty rating for high-output basking lamps and Ceramic Heat Emitters (CHEs). |
Safety is paramount when dealing with high-wattage heating elements. Reptile One has engineered these holders to withstand the intense, prolonged heat generated by modern reptile bulbs.
High-Grade Ceramic Construction: Engineered to handle extreme thermal stress without cracking or degrading, ensuring a long product lifespan.
Versatile Fitting: Compatible with a wide range of E27 screw-type bulbs, including Basking Lamps, Halogens, Infrared, Moonlight, and Ceramic Heat Emitters.
Safety First: Significantly reduces the risk of electrical fires compared to non-specialized household fittings.
Easy Installation: Can be easily integrated into custom enclosures, wire cage reflectors, or mounted to the ceiling of a wooden terrarium.
Corrosion Resistant: Built to withstand the higher humidity levels often found in tropical reptile environments.
This product is an essential hardware item for all Reptile, Amphibian, and Invertebrate enclosures where supplemental heating is required. It is also highly effective for use in Brooder Boxes for birds or small mammals.
Expert Installation Tip: When using the 150W model with a Ceramic Heat Emitter (which produces no light but intense heat), ensure the holder is paired with a wire mesh cage or reflector. This prevents the animal from making direct contact with the hot element and allows for proper ventilation around the ceramic base. Always check that your bulb's wattage does not exceed the maximum rating of the holder.
